Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia reached $13 billion

Kazakhstan Today - Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia of 2006 reached $13 billion, the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation Victor Khristenko informed at the briefing after the meeting of the co-chairmen of the Kazakh-Russian intergovernmental commission on cooperation, the agency reports.
"Development of the Russian-Kazakhstan relations is at a very high level," the co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission of the Russian party V. Khristenko emphasized. "Following the results of 2006, commodity turnover between two countries reached $13 billion," he noted.
"Our economic relations cover not only trading and oil and gas operations, but also the spheres of high technologies and machine-technical production," V. Khristenko emphasized. V. Khristenko said that the next session of the Kazakh-Russian intergovernmental commission on cooperation would take place in the second quarter of 2007 in Moscow.
