Modernization of Aktobe oil transportation system to China to be completed in 2010

ATYRAU. November 2. KAZINFORM /Andrei Sokolov/ Construction of the Kumkol pipe-end oil-pumping station of KazTransOil JSC, which will allow to increase a throughput volume of oil from Aktobe oblast to China, will be completed in 2010; the press service of the Atyrau branch of KazTransOil JSC reports. There is also carried out expansion and reconstruction of the Kenkiyak pipe-end oil-pumping station. It is a starting and ending point of receiving and pumping of the Kenkiyak-Kumkol oil pipeline. The Kumkol station is aimed at ensuring opportunities of oil transportation of the Aktobe fields to the Chinese market, which will be realized within the Atyrau pump station. The reconstruction is carried out in two stages. The first stage will allow to pump over crude oil of the Aktobe fields by the Atyrau-Kenkiyak oil pipeline in the direction of the People's Republic of China, the second stage - to tune up reverse pumping of the West Kazakhstan oil blend to the Chinese plants. The first line of the transportation system modernization will be completed in 2010.
