ALMATY. November 2. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Within the framework of the National Business Forum Autumn 2009 Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov has explained why the state supports small and medium business, banks and construction sector. "We have always said that banks are blood vessels of our country", the Chairman reminded. According to K.Kelimbetov, all anti-crisis programs of different countries were based on support of the financial sector, and the Kazakh financial sphere consists of banks. "The national banking sector is represented by six top banks, two out of them - with foreign participation. Because of it another four banks - BTA Bank, Kazkommertsbank, Halyk Bank and Alliance Bank were rendered the first assistance", he said. As K.Kelimbetov noted, the banking and construction sectors are like twins. "It is impossible to support one sector and ignore another one", he emphasized. "The banks invested in the construction sector. Before the crisis economic growth was based on growth of financial sector and real estate sphere. Because of it, the Government supported these sectors for soft landing of economy", K.Kelimbetov said.
