Joint Kazakh-Russian automobile plant to be built in Karaganda
ASTANA. 12.04.2010. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ An automobile plant, a project implemented together with the Russian Company Soilers is planned to be constructed in Karaganda.
Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Berik Kamaliyev has said it at a telephone conference in the Kazakh Government on Monday.
"It is necessary to pass the procedure of documentation. All issues are solved. I think that we will implement it. At the beginning we wanted to construct it in Astana, but there were issues connected with land plot. 100 ha are needed for this purpose. The issue on construction in Karaganda is under discussion", the Vice Minister noted.
According to him, the Kazakh side waits for an expert group for solution of a number of issues. Vice Prime Minister-Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev, in his turn, emphasized that this plant is planned to produce Suzuki automobiles of the Japanese company.
