Almaty. July 9. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the laws on Special Economic Zones in Kazakhstan defining order and conditions of creation, functioning and closing down of special economic zones on the territory of Kazakhstan and on amendments and additions to the acts of the Republic Kazakhstan concerning activity of special economic zones, the president's press service informed the agency. As it was informed earlier, the norms of the law on Special Economic Zones in the Republic Kazakhstan regulate legal regime of special economic zones and guarantees the rights of SEZ participants. The order of creation, functioning and closing down of SEZ has been established. Thus, the norms of the law will not extend on SEZ created before the introduction of the new law. The second document introduces amendments to Tax and Land Codes and regulates the order of payment for using land on SEZ territory.
