Kazakhstan to increase oil refining by 500 thousand tons in 2008 - vice Minister of Energy
Astana. January 17. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan will increase oil refining by 500 thousand tons in 2008. Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bolat Akchulakov informed at the session of the Agriculture Ministry on Wednesday, the agency reports.
"In 2008 we plan to increase oil refining in domestic oil refining plants up to 12.5 million tons of oil," B. Akchulakov said.
According to his data, it is planned to produce 2.8 million tons of gasoline and 4 million tons of diesel fuel in 2008.
Thus, vice minister emphasized, "more than 1 million tons of oil is planned to be refined monthly."
In 2007 Kazakhstan oil refining plants refined 12 million tons of oil, made 2.6 million tons of gasoline, 3.9 million tons of diesel fuel, 2.6 million tons of black oil and 258.9 thousand tons of kerosene.
